A star of the new menu is the addition of robatayaki grill skewers and fresh maki rolls, emphasising Myers’ strong Japanese influence that contributes to the nomadic spirit of the restaurant. A modern take on the vibrant Izakaya, ADRIFT’s flavour-forward menu includes small plates, healthy salads, seafood, and meats grilled over bincho charcoal on a traditional robata grill. Enjoy dishes prepared using fresh Californian produce, with an Asian inspiration. For a truly bespoke dining experience, opt for the Omakase dinner and let the Chef curate a meal with the best seasonal ingredients or enjoy a leisurely semi-buffet weekend brunch of signature dishes and brunch favourites.

Starting from 15 March till Easter Sunday,16 April, Brez’n, Singapore’s most authentic Bavarian restaurant, will mark its first Easter with a wholesome, warm and inviting rustic menu prepared for families gathering to celebrate the end of lent season and to give thanks.

On Easter Sunday, Brez’n will share its Bavarian warmth by treating each child to a free meal from the dedicated kids’ menu, with every adult meal ordered from the Easter menu. For the grown-ups, one of the highlights of the hearty menu is the Easter Platter. Families of up to five can sit back for hours and enjoy this generous sharing platter which is served with one glazed slow cooked lamb shank, two pan-fried salmon steaks, and Brez’n’s signature crispy pork knuckle, complete with a buttery herbed potato mash. $118++ serves 4 - 5.

Kuro Maguro - Largest Range of Maguro Donburi in Singapore

Savour top-quality maguro by Kuro Maguro, an exciting concept by Misaki Megumi Suisan, one of the most renowned tuna and fish wholesalers in Japan, “Kuro Maguro” translates to bluefin tuna and in Japan. the bluefin tuna is consumers’ most beloved fish for sushi and sashimi. It is one of the most expensive varieties — in fact, just recently, a bluefin tuna fetched a 74.2-million-yen price tag at an auction held in Tsukiji market, Tokyo.  

Kuro Maguro insists on using meat culled from blue fins that weigh a minimum of 280kg. These fishes have a good amount of fat as well as lean meat. The restaurant imports the fish directly from Misaki Port to Singapore via ANA air freight. It also uses a technique to super freeze its maguro. As soon as the fishes are caught, they are kept frozen at – 60 degrees Celsius.  As such, absolute freshness is a guarantee.

At Kuro Maguro, you can enjoy 18 best-value and premium donburi that rival top Japanese restaurants’. Feast on mainstays such as Otoro Meshi, which features delightful, beautifully marbled tuna belly, or Salmon Oyako Meshi, which stars salmon chunks and juicy roe.

Torikin - A Very Unique Uni Hotpot For Chinese New Year

To celebrate its 2nd Anniversary and Chinese New Year 2017 in Singapore, Torikin is introducing The Uni Hotpot. The first of its kind to be introduced here, Torikin's Uni Hotpot comes with generous portions of uni (sea urchin) flown in from Japan in a rich Uni essence mixed into Bonito stock to form a sweet, umami-filled pot of goodness, which bountiful seafood like prawns, scallops, salmon and tuna are dipped quickly, Japanese Shabu-style. The luxurious hotpot is finished up with rice mixed into the remaining rich stock to form a comforting bowl of porridge. With its bright orange and red colours, and high quality seafood, this dish is the ideal prosperity pot to indulge in over Chinese New Year with the whole family.

The Uni Hotpot is available from 13 December 2016 onwards at $86.90 per pax (minimum 2 pax). 

Torikin is part of a chain of restaurants by the Ishida Kikaku Group, originating from Fukuoka in Kyushu, Japan. It is the first overseas venture by the Group and embodies its founder, Mr Kyota Ishida’s philosophy of allowing all customers to discover the authentic taste of Kyushu, without compromising on quality. Last year, the group opened Torikin Teppan Bar Q in Robertson Quay, serving up Mediterranean inspired teppanyaki and tapas dishes.
